David Hockney exhibition

I really enjoyed this exhibition because it displayed Hockey’s work over a range of decades, so it allowed me to see how he progressed and grew as an artist. As an art student is was especially relevant to me because I saw the work he was doing when he was my age in university.

He used inks and pencil on paper to create drawings of street scenes and trees.

I think he captures perspective very well, especially the angles in the street scenes.

It has showed me that you don’t have to create precise detailed drawings to be successful.
