Influences – Marion Deuchars

Marion Deauchars work influences me because of the playful style of her lettering. She has one of the most rescognisable styles of letterforms and design which has brought her a lot of success. She has worked for the likes of Vanity fair, the Gaurdian and has even designed royal mail stamps.

Her style is simple, and varies from seriff, sans seriff and script. I think her lettering stands out the most when it’s in black and white because it’s very bold.

Her letterforms can be used on children’s books, posters, magazines and more.
